PP Singh
The loss of trees, green cover and forest land for developmental works is a reality which we see happening. The funds received under CAMPA and the works done under it are a step towards neutralizing the negative effects of loss of green cover.
In addition to taking up plantation activities in pre-designated sites, good work is also being done in the areas of soil and moisture conservation and catchment area treatment.
The works undertaken under CAMPA is also a step towards mitigating the adverse effects of climate change also.
